Willie Nadine Barefield

Willie Nadine Barefield was born on January 1, 1951, in Victoria, Texas, to the late Mr. Elijah Barefield and Mrs. Birdie Barefield. From the very beginning, Nadine’s life was marked by warmth, joy, and a spirit that effortlessly drew people to her. She was raised in Bay City, Texas, a place she proudly called home throughout her life. Nadine attended Bay City High School, where she graduated and continued to build lifelong friendships rooted in love, laughter, and shared memories. Nadine was a woman whose smile could brighten any room. She loved everyone she met and carried herself with sweetness, humility, and a generous heart. She was the kind of person who would give her last to help someone else, never seeking recognition—only the joy of knowing others were happy. Fun followed Nadine wherever she went, and she made it her mission to truly enjoy life. Her favorite moments were often the simplest ones: dancing to music she loved, playing lottery tickets with hope and excitement, riding around in the car listening to her favorite songs, and spending cherished time watching Martin and The Steve Harvey Show with her daughter. Nadine had a deep appreciation for laughter, togetherness, and living fully in the moment. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Mr. Elijah Barefield and Mrs. Birdie Barefield; her brothers, Elijah Barefield Jr. and Kenneth Barefield; and her sister, Linda Austin. Willie Nadine Barefield will be remembered for her loving spirit, infectious joy, and the light she brought into the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in every smile she inspired, every laugh she shared, and every heart she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and beautiful spirit will remain forever.

She leaves to cherish the memories her daughter Rosseana White; sons Dennis White, Terry White and Lloyd White; sister Birdie Barefield; brothers Gwen Daniels and Edwin Barefield; grandchildren Amari White, Dennis White Jr.,  Jeremiah White, Rachel White, and Brittany White; nieces Darlene Austin, Tracy Austin, Nicole Barefield, Shirley Barefield, Rosiland Daniels, Ramona Daniels, Tammy Barefield, Wanda Daniels, Becky Barefield, Yolanda Barefield, and Ramonika Barefield; nephews Ivan Austin, Kevin Austin, Monte White, Elijah Barefield, and Roland Daniels; a host of extended family and friends.
